Group travel is different from couple or family travel, and the plan should reflect it. More people means more coordination: vehicles, rooming, meal timings and the odds that someone is late. The packages in this group are designed for friends, extended families, associations, schools and religious or community groups travelling together.
What changes for a group
- Vehicles. From tempo travellers for 10 to 14 people to multiple cars for smaller families, matched to your headcount and luggage.
- Rooming. Twin, triple and family rooms arranged in advance, with the group kept together wherever possible.
- Meals. Breakfast and dinner at fixed times, with vegetarian, Jain or special diets arranged on request.
- Timing. A realistic schedule that accounts for the time it takes to load, unload and walk as a group.
- Costs shared. Larger groups usually reduce the per-person transport cost, and we explain what changes with group size.
Choosing your pickup point
Most group tours start from Jammu by road, because the railway station is close to the highway and trains arrive at set times. If your group is flying, Srinagar-to-Srinagar saves a day. Our 6 nights, 7 days Jammu tour is the classic route for road groups.
Tips for group leaders
Confirm the final headcount early, collect ID details in advance, keep a spare buffer for each day, and agree who pays for local costs such as ponies and gondola tickets. Our local transport guide will help you brief the group.

Should I start my Kashmir trip from Jammu or Srinagar?
Fly into Srinagar if you have five days or fewer; you save a full day of road travel. Start from Jammu if you are travelling by train, want to combine Vaishno Devi with Kashmir, or enjoy road journeys. The Jammu to Srinagar drive takes most of a day.
What are local union cabs and why are they not included?
In Pahalgam, Sonamarg and parts of Gulmarg, local sightseeing is done only by locally registered taxis and ponies, and outside vehicles are not permitted on those routes. Those charges are usually paid directly on the spot, so your package covers the journey to the town while these local legs stay separate. We list this clearly in every quote.
How many days are enough for Kashmir?
Five days covers Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam without rushing. Six or seven days lets you add Sonamarg and Doodhpathri at a comfortable pace, which most families prefer. A weekend is possible from Srinagar, but you will see only Srinagar and one hill destination.
