Rajasthan can be a very romantic honeymoon, but only if the plan leaves room for it. The state is full of things to see, and it is easy to build a trip where every day starts at 7 am and ends in a car. The packages in this group are designed the other way round: fewer cities, longer stays, heritage hotels where it matters and plenty of time to sit by a lake.

What our couple plans usually include

  • Two or three bases, not six. Typically Jaipur and Udaipur, sometimes adding Jodhpur or a desert camp.
  • Heritage stays. A haveli or palace hotel for at least one night, chosen for atmosphere and comfort.
  • A private car with driver, so you can stop for photographs and leave when you wish.
  • Sunset experiences. A boat ride on Lake Pichola, a rooftop dinner or a camel ride at the dunes.
  • A balance of sightseeing and rest, with at least one free afternoon.
  • Small extras on request, such as a candlelit dinner, a spa session or a photographer for a short shoot.

Choosing the season

October to March is the best period, with pleasant weather and a festive mood. November to February is peak, with the highest rates and the best-known festivals. The monsoon months of July to September are an underrated option for Udaipur: the lakes fill up, hills turn green and crowds thin out, though rain can limit outdoor plans.

How to pick a plan

Start with the Jaipur and Udaipur honeymoon if you have a week or less. If you have more time, the Royal Rajasthan circuit adds Jodhpur and Jaisalmer, and the Desert and forts plan suits couples who prefer landscape to bazaars.

Honest advice for couples

Do not try to see everything. Two nights in Udaipur is better than one night each in three towns. Book your best hotel for the place you will spend the most time. Ask about the room, not just the property, because heritage hotels can have very different categories. And think about the transfer between Jaipur and Udaipur: a flight or train often saves the best part of a day.

Helpful answers

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I choose Jaipur or Udaipur if I only have a few days?

Jaipur gives you big forts, bazaars and palace museums and is close to Delhi. Udaipur gives you lakes, havelis and a slower, more romantic mood. Couples often prefer Udaipur, first-time sightseers prefer Jaipur, and many travellers combine them, though the drive between them takes six to seven hours.

Are heritage hotels worth the money?

For one or two nights, often yes. A good palace or haveli stay adds atmosphere, courtyards and food you remember. Quality varies, so check the room category, recent photos, location and whether the property is a working hotel or mainly a museum. We name the category in every quote so you can compare.

What is the best time to visit Rajasthan?

October to March is the most comfortable window, with sunny days and cool evenings. November to February is peak season for festivals, desert camps and heritage hotels. April to June is very hot, often above 40 degrees, and July to September brings monsoon showers that turn the Aravallis green and make Udaipur especially pretty.
