Dwarka sits on the western tip of the Saurashtra peninsula and is one of the four Char Dham pilgrimage centres. The Dwarkadhish Temple is the focus of most visits, with Bet Dwarka reached by ferry from Okha, about 30 km further north.
Getting around
Dwarka has its own railway station on the Ahmedabad–Okha line. The nearest airports are Jamnagar, roughly 130 km away, and Rajkot at about 230 km. Local distances are short enough to cover by auto or a hired car.
When to visit
October to March is the comfortable window. Summers are hot, and Janmashtami draws very large crowds, which affects both accommodation availability and darshan queue times.

Temple timings include a midday closure, and rules on phones, cameras and permitted items vary by temple. Bet Dwarka involves a ferry crossing, so the trip depends on sea conditions and daylight.
